A WOMANS TOUCH
Designers Susie Lear and Pat Raper from Foliage Unlimited have put their final touches on this large project. Now it's up to nature to take over, and enhance the full, rich layout of color and texture. The terraced front yard is filled with a variety of perennials to create magnificent color all year. "When it starts growing in, it will be very full and very colorful," Lear said. "We planted a variety of perennials that will bloom at different times of the year." The women also chose a variety of foliage including a few that some may consider unusual for this area, like purple smoke trees, red bud trees and African daisies. "These plants are a little more difficult to get, but they are so beautiful, and they grow so well here," she said. This is just a small sample of what the designers can do. Right now they are working on a large fusion project incorporating several design elements.
